[ Blake squints dubiously at her van's radio display. Why on Remnant would Qrow need to ask a question about the Faunus?
(The whole people are spontaneously developing animal parts here thing is still new enough to her that it doesn't immediately occur to her. It will, eventually.) ]
Is it okay to use regular shampoo for that? Or do I need to find something else?
[ Not that they have much in the way of shampoo variety in the Convoy in the first place. But if they ever do find something else he's not gonna be the idiot that keeps using the wrong thing out of habit. ]
[ For a second, that question gets really weird and almost invasive -- until Qrow says I, and Blake realizes what's happening. Couldn't he have just opened the conversation with 'hey I grew animal ears'? Honestly. ]
It kind of depends, actually. Fur type varies a lot. Sometimes short fur is fine to use regular human shampoo on, and long fur isn't. But some fur types are a lot more delicate than others.
[ She pauses, and a grin creeps onto her face. Okay, sue her, she's kind of excited about her friends becoming Faunus. Not the... rest of the monster transformation bit. But it's nice to not be the only person around with extra ears! ]
[ Huh. Blake hadn't really thought of them like that before, but... Qrow's got a point. They do share some similarities. ]
Well, at least you got the best kind of ears. Not to brag or anything.
[ Blake taps her fingers against the wheel thoughtfully. ]
Did you get enhanced hearing along with them? That might take a while to get used to -- Yang had the same thing. I've been teaching her how to use it in combat.
Hey, I'm not complaining. Now whoever gets them next will be even cooler by association.
[ Blake's question gets an actual moment of thought out of him, a soft hum accompanied by the twitching of his ears–which happens whenever he thinks about them, lately. ]
I guess you could call it that. I'm not sure if I'm hearing anything I didn't before. But what I am hearing, I'm hearing more. It's harder to tune things out.
That sounds about right. I actually don't have my good hearing or my night vision right now-- I don't know why, my senses were muffled from the moment I got summoned here.
You and Yang will have to get together and have some hearing sessions.
[ The thought is kind of adorable, actually. ]
So if you've got cat ears... I wonder what kind of monster that's from?
Seems par for the course here. I'll let you guys know if I notice anything worth worrying about.
[ He can't even make a dumb joke about chasing string or whatever. First because he doubts Blake would appreciate it, and second because 'psychological changes' is way more likely to mean 'impulse to try to murder the people he cares about'. ]
voice; mid-april? ish?
[ He trails off. ]
I guess it's a Faunus question, kind of?

Of course. What do you need to know?

What type of ears did you grow?

Thought that might be the answer. [ He sighs. ] Least I'm not stuck with dish soap.
[ As for the type of ears, he makes a noncommittal hm noise at first. ]
I'm not exactly an ears expert. But they're shaped more like your ears than Zwei's, so I'm guessing a cat.

[ Blake can't quite stifle a laugh. ]
And I assume they're the same color as your hair. Qrow, are you stealing my look? Should I be offended?

Hey, I didn't pick 'em out. Maybe whatever's in charge of giving us extra parts is just calling us kindred spirits.
[ You know, what with all the brooding and asocial tendencies and blaming themselves for all the bad things that happen to the people around them. ]

[ Just the real ones he has to deal with as part of his day job. Still, there is one that comes to mind. ]
I heard stories about cat monsters in parts of Mistral when I was kid. But they've usually got white fur.

[ Like her hunger for blood; or Yang's violence under the moon warp. ]
I'm not sure what those would be, exactly, if we don't know your monster type.
